My day

I woke up at seven o'clock today. I have an alarm clock. I don't like it, but the alarm clock is really loud, so I always wake up. It was a beautiful morning – the sun was coming in the window, and a bird was in the tree by my house, singing a song. The bird was blue and yellow, with pink feathers on his head, and a red tail. What strange colours, I thought.
I went to the kitchen and ate breakfast. I had bacon and eggs, with a piece of toast with butter, a glass of juice, a cup of coffee, and cereal. Normally I only have coffee and toast, but today I was very hungry. Then I went upstairs to put on some clothes. I chose a blue shirt, black pants with a black belt, and black shoes. The shirt is my favourite – it was a birthday present from my wife.
Then I went to work. I went by bus because my wife had the car. I work on the third floor of an office building downtown. My office is number 10, at the end of the hall. Today, I wrote a report, sent some emails, and made a phone call to a firm in London. The report was for the boss. He is on holiday this week, so his assistant is in charge of the company at the moment. The firm in London sells computers, and I need to buy a new one – the one on my desk is old. 
At the end of the day, I went home again by bus. I had dinner, and watched a football match on TV. Then I went to bed. The bird wasn't in the tree – maybe he sleeps in a different tree at night, or maybe that is why the cat didn't eat dinner tonight…
