Bob: Thanks for meeting me today, Jack. I really want to close this deal between our firms today, but my director isn't happy with some of the terms in the sample contract you sent us.
Jack: Really? Well, we want to wrap things up on our side too, but we also have a few problems we want to discuss, just like last time. You first...
Bob: So, about the quantity. If we order 100,000 pieces, will you give us free delivery?
Jack: Hmm...We will give you free delivery only if you order 125,000 pieces or more.
Bob: Ok, but if we order that many pieces, you will have to give us a break on the unit cost, too.
Jack: Well, I can't give away something for nothing, of course, but if you order 125,000 pieces and pay up front, then I think I will be able to cut you a deal.
Bob: Up front? You know we can't put that much money up front – if we do that, what will we do in case there is some snag with the delivery or something? It wouldn't be the first time, you know...
Jack: Ok, how about this...if you put the money up front, we will guarantee on time delivery – and you can have a full refund if you aren't satisfied.
