ON

COME ON – be quick, do something

HOLD ON – wait

CARRY ON – continue

TRY ON – put on (clothes) to see if they are ok

OUT

FIND OUT – discover, detect

PUT OUT – stop (a fire)

SHOW OUT – show somebody the way out (of a room)

LOOK OUT – be careful

DOWN

BREAK DOWN – stop working

KNOCK DOWN – demolish, hit

UP

BREAK UP – end relationship

WAKE UP – stop sleeping

WASH UP – wash the dishes

GROW UP – become an adult

GIVE UP – stop trying

SPEAK UP – speak more loudly

HURRY UP – do something more quickly

LOOK UP – search and find

SOME MORE

TAKE OFF – leave the ground

LAND IN – come to the ground

FILL IN – complete

KNOCK OVER (a cup, a glass) – have a small accident

SHOW IN – show somebody the way in (a room)

SHOW ROUND – take somebody on a tour of a place

THROW AWAY / PUT AWAY – (something that you don't want)

LOOK FORWARD TO – be excited about some future event

LOOK FOR – search

LOOK AFTER – take care
