People broke a bridge 

 

There was a bridge in China. People destroyed the bridge but it wasn't easy.

There was electricity, gas and people's homes all near the bridge. The workers had to be careful. They put bags with water on the bridge. The water stopped the dust.

The bridge was very long. It was the longest bridge which they destroyed in China. It was a record.

Interesting words: destroy (break completely), had to (past form of must), dust (small sand in the air).

 

Hot air balloon accident 

 

Two hot air balloons were flying. Then an accident happened. The two balloons hit. One balloon was not OK and it fell down. It was in Turkey.

There were people in the balloons. They wanted to look at the nice nature. A visitor from Brazil died. More people had problems with their bodies.

This was the second big accident with balloons. The first accident happened in 2009 when a British person died.

 Babies with one body

 

Two babies from Peru are special. They are twins and they have one body. Their parents don't like it. They want help from doctors.

So thirty doctors and nurses operated on the twins. They tried to separate them. The operation was very hard. It took eight hours. Each baby has one body now. Their parents are very happy. The babies will be OK. Doctors will check on them in the future. They will check to make sure they are still OK.

Children and a tornado

 

A tornado in the USA destroyed a school. Some children died but many children lived. Children who lived were afraid. They cried. Their parents and their teachers helped them. There is a video about it.

Many people were saved but fifteen people and nine children died from the tornado. More than 200 people were injured.

Train at your door 

 

Some people live near a train station. They can travel to work. It is good for them. But it is not good when the train is very close.

There is a city in Vietnam. It has a very narrow street. In the street there is a way for trains to pass. Trains go there every day.

The trains go very near the houses. This is not good for the people. People must be careful when they go home because the trains can hit them. There were accidents there in the past.

Plane accident in England

 

A plane was flying and it hit birds. Then the plane had problems. It happened in England.

People saw smoke and they were afraid. The smoke was coming from the most important part of the plane. It was coming from the engine. There was some fire too

But the plane landed and people were saved. Three people had problems with their bodies.
