to earn – to receive money based on the performance of work
a salary – a fixed monthly or yearly amount of money paid to a person for their work
a wage – payment for labor or services, usually calculated based on an hourly rate
wages – plural
benefits – additional, non-monetary payment for work, such as paid holiday time, use of a company car, free meals,accountant, secretary, etc.
a commission – an extra payment to a salesperson based on a percentage of the price of goods that they sell
a bonus – extra money paid to an employee, for example at the end of the year, or for special or excellent work
overtime – work done in excess of the standard or expected working hours, usually paid at a higher rate than normal
a raise – an increase in either one's salary or hourly wage (American English, in British English, "rise" is used)
a promotion – the giving to an employee of a higher position or job title
a pension – a sum of money paid regularly to an employee,usually as a retirement benefit
