Skiing with no ice
A Venezuelan skier cannot be stopped by the hot weather. The adventurous man wants to make his dreams come true.
He travelled over 2,500 kilometers in Venezuela on his roller skis. It took him a few months, but it was worth it. He beat his previous record of travelling 2,306 kilometers.
The new record has to be still ratified by the Guinness World Records but there's something perhaps even cooler. He will try to get to the 2014 Winter Olympics. Hopefully, he'll be OK with the snow.

Water takes a car
Heavy rains and flash floods caused mud slides in Colorado. A big mud slide took a car on a highway, but luckily with no one inside.
The situation was filmed and posted online. Other cars were trapped, but no one was injured.
The mud even got into twenty houses in the area and 260 people had to leave a trailer park.
Interesting words: flash floods (local surprising big water), mud slide (wet earth that goes and destroys things), trailer park (place where people live in their caravans/trailers).
Panda is born
A nine-year-old panda from the Taiwan Taipei Zoo gave birth to her baby. She didn't need any help during this special moment. She simply knew what to do thanks to her instincts.
Everything went smoothly, which was quite a relief, because the panda had problems with getting pregnant. The keepers said that this was the seventh attempt to make her pregnant. The only job now is to find a nice name that would fit this baby.
The number of pandas is decreasing and there are only three hundred panda couples that can have babies. Every new panda is a reason to celebrate.

Women in the air
101 Russian women jumped from planes to perform a beautiful flower in the air.
They set a new record for the most female skydivers in the air. But a new record wasn't their only reason for the jump. They dedicated it to their former captain who died last year in California. They left one space for her in the centre of this flower.
It is not easy to jump and create a flower in the air when there are so many people. The women had to practise a lot.

Lady between two walls
Taking a shortcut might not be always a good idea, especially if it gets you stuck in between two walls.
This is exactly what happened to a Chinese woman. She was left alone between two walls for hours. Help came after when she was seen by passers-by. Firefighters destroyed part of one wall and then the woman was saved. It took them twenty minutes.

Place for strong people
Looking for a real men's place? The one in Kiev, Ukraine is definitely hardcore.
There's an outdoor gym with more than 200 machines. They are all made from scrap metal taken from old ships or even World War 2 tanks. You can also use old tires as boxing bags and you don't need to pay for any of it. The gym is completely free.
It was founded in the1970s by a Ukrainian man and it is still in good condition. It is maintained by the people. They install new self-made machines every year, also.

Bull hits a man
The sixth day of the annual San Fermin fiesta was very unlucky for a 31-year-old man. He fell and one of the bulls attacked him.
The bull, which weighed more than a ton, threw him around like a rag doll. It probably didn't like running with some crazy drunk men through the narrow streets. Other runners tried to help him but it took them 30 seconds to pull the man away from this bull. He was then taken to a hospital. He might be very seriously injured.

Man lost a lot of money
A man from Italy decides to take revenge on slot machines. Not only did he not win--he lost 5,000 euros.
Security cameras filmed the incident. The man calmly walked into the bar but with an axe in his hand. Then he used it to destroy the slot machines.
And when he finished, he walked out of the bar with a smile on his face.
Interesting words: revenge (do wrong to something that did you wrong in the past), slot machine (machine in which you put money and if you are lucky, you win), axe (thing for breaking something).
Young man runs with a bus
A football fan from Vietnam fulfilled his dreams when he met his football heroes of the Arsenal football team.
What did he have to do to get what he wanted? He ran five miles with a bus the players were travelling in. He was getting more popular with the players with every mile and after some time they decided to stop and take him with them on the bus.
Everybody took pictures with him and he was so happy. This should be a message for everybody: if you can dream it, you can do it!

His wife is seventy years younger
People from an Iraqi village have a reason to celebrate. A woman and a man got married. But the interesting thing is that the woman is seventy years younger than her man.
The 92-year-old man had a wife but she died and he became very lonely. There was no light in his life, but now he can share his life with someone again.
The young woman is happy with the situation too and she believes that it is her fate to be with this man.
