Dear Jack
Thank you for your long letter. I was very unhappy to hear all the bad news about your life. I remember I also had some problems at school when I was a student. You should study hard! You mustn't get lazy! I know that it's very hard to start studying immediately after you come home from school, but that's the best time. You shouldn't go out and play with your friends or spend all afternoon on the computer. Do your homework first! You don't have to spend the rest of the day with your textbooks, but you should revise all things from school.
Don't worry about your girlfriend. You will have a lot of better girlfriends in the future. You have to study hard and when you are a good and successful student, you will be more attractive for girls. They will run after you!
Jack, you mustn't think that your parents hate you. You are their only child, so they only want the best things for you. They would like you to be a good student. When you grow up, you will see that they were very good parents to you. You should listen to what they tell you because they are very good people and they know a lot about life.
I'm looking forward to you visiting me during the summer holidays.
Yours,
Grandpa
