PETER'S PRIVATE DIARY

June 29, Saturday

Today's a beautiful day. The sun is shining and it's about 25 degrees. I'm sitting under an apple tree in our garden and I'm looking at the people in the neighbour's garden. They are having a party. The children are playing with a ball. They're having fun. Our neighbour, Mr Jackson, is sitting on his armchair. He is smoking a cigar. He's talking to his son-in-law – about politics. Frank, the son-in-law, is wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes. He looks like a tennis-player.
Mrs Jackson and her daughter are drinking wine and talking about life. Jill, the daughter, is wearing a light blue dress. She is smiling. She is so beautiful! I would like to be her husband and to be the father of her children.
Now Frank is looking at me angrily. He can see that I am looking at his wife. "Stop looking at her, man!" his eyes are saying. Ok, ok. I'll stop writing now and go home.
