Present continuous
PRESENT SIMPLE is used when you speak about everyday situations
PRESENT CONTINUOUS is used when you speak about NOW
It is formed with help of TO BE and the verb takes ING
• GO: I am going home.
• SLEEP: She is sleeping now.
To make the sentence negative, use NOT
• He is not eating.
To make questions, start with TO BE
• Are you playing well?
• Is he working?
- ING sometimes changes the verb
• DANCE: They are dancing. (not danceing)
• SWIM: Anne is swimming. (the final consonant is doubled)
