Jim & Jack
Jim: | Hi, Jack. |
---|---|
Jack: | Hi, Jim. How are you? |
Jim: | I'm OK now. And you? |
Jack: | Fine. I heard you had some health problems. |
Jim: | Yes. The air in the city is very bad for me. |
Jack: | It's not really clean, is it? |
Jim: | That's why I moved to Dillington last year. |
Jack: | Really? Where is it? |
Jim: | Well, it's a small village in the mountains. |
Jack: | Why did you move? |
Jim: | Well, the air is much cleaner there. |
Jack: | That's true. Where do you live there? |
Jim: | I bought an old house. |
Jack: | That must be worse than living in a modern flat! |
Jim: | No, it's not so bad. It's actually much better. The life in Dillington is quieter and…..slower. |
Jack: | How do you mean – slower? |
Jim: | Well, when I lived in the city I had no time at all. I was always in a hurry and I was also late all the time. All those meetings and appointments! |
Jack: | So, what do you do in Dillington? |
Jim: | I'm a teacher. I teach little children. I start at 9 in the morning and I finish at 1 pm. In the afternoon I coach sports for my pupils. |
Jack: | That's nice, but do you earn enough money? |
Jim: | Well, I don't earn a lot, but life in the country is cheaper. |
