Verb suffixes
Use the words in brackets to form verbs. Use the following suffixes:
-en, -ify, -ise/-ize
- Would it be possible to [simplify] (simple) the procedure?
- Unfortunately nobody has been able to [identify] (identity) the body yet.
- The library information system is going to be [modernized, modernised] (modern) next year.
- Let's [sweeten] (sweet) your common day with something special!
- We won't let anyone [terrorize, terorrise] (terror) our neighborhood.
- Meeting that little boy really [brightened] (bright) my day.
- Although I am not a regular church-goer, I would like to have my children [baptized, baptised] (baptism).
- As you can see, those strict rules have [loosened] (loose) over the years.
- We are going to discuss why it is necessary to [strengthen] (strength) financial regulations.
- This magazine tries to [popularise, popularize] (popular) science, specifically chemistry.
